Lightsview’s new Central Wetland Precinct includes 3 grassed areas.
These areas act as a stormwater detention basin and are designed to hold water when it rains. You may see this happen over the next few days, as Adelaide expects heavy rainfall. The system is to manage flows into the Torrens River catchment and make sure there is no flooding further downstream or to the surrounding homes.
The grass will return to normal shortly after. Please stay safe around these areas as the wetland system works away.
